Mesh Top in Germany

Happy freaking Friday you guys! We made it through the week. I was traveling last Thursday-Monday for work, so this weekend is much needed for me. Bonus! It’s also Cinco de Mayo, and I plan on eating some Mexican food in celebration of the Mexican’s unlikely victory over the French (not their Independence Day ICYMI).

Much like any holiday, I will use it as an excuse to eat and drink delicious things. Yeah, I see you guac, tacos, MARGS! Alright, enough, enough, I should probably stop talking about food and start talking about this gorgeous mesh top from Zara.

I wore this outfit on our last day in Berlin. The weather was really nice (take note Chicago), so I could go without a jacket. Right before these photos were taken, we stopped at this really adorable brunch place and indulged in a local meat/cheese platter (AKA my fav).

Let me tell you about this little black blouse. This Zara mesh top was basically a 2-for-1 deal because it came with a really soft tank too. When I styled this, I went for the legging pairing because we were traveling, but I think it would also be really cute tucked into skinny jeans. I know I’ve talked about these shoes before, but goodness gracious they are so freaking comfortable. If you have a walking-heavy trip coming up, then I strongly recommend grabbing yourself a pair.

Sorry for all the black clothes lately, but I’m feeling really pulled to it. Probably because the weather has been doom and gloom. But also, like I mentioned in the last post, packing neutrals is great for when you’re going on vacation and don’t want to overpack.

Now, I can’t end this post without singing the praises of this Forever 21 backpack. I didn’t want to kill my shoulder while we were traveling, so I knew I needed a backpack before we left. The night before we left, I scooped up this number. I was able to fit my camera, wallet, water bottles, snacks, and even a jacket for when the weather changed. It was seriously amazing.

What clothes and accessories do you bring with you on a trip?
