I’m giving myself one massive high five. Why?! Because if you hover over the little plus signs on the collage above, then you can shop the post directly! I applied to rewardStyle a few weeks ago and I’m still playing around with all of the fun features the site offers.
Alright, back to the point of this post. Fall is coming. I know, I know, hold the phone or call CNN because the best time of the year is almost here. Awesome activities, fashion, weather, ugh I can’t handle it. P.S. I know everything I’m saying makes me sound like one basic b*tch (no shame). But as someone who has two legs that rub together all summer, I’m pretty pumped about leggings, tights, and denim. While my favorite season is fast approaching, we all have to get through the dreaded in between first. I’m talking chilly mornings met by sweltering afternoons. You know the drill, and it’s so hard to dress for. That’s where these pieces come in.

Can you ever have too much denim? No, of course not. While I’ve been wearing spandex-like skinny jeans for the past decade, I want to move to thicker, mom-style jeans like these ones from Akira.
One of the best ways to prepare for a new season is mixing old with new. This simple, embroidered sweatshirt layered over a dress, your favorite cut offs, or even a romper would be trés chic.
The Zara trench vest is a little outside my typical fashion taste, but I think this would make an amazing transitional piece! I can see it layered over a tank and skinny jeans or with a long sleeve baby doll dress. Either way, I need it.
Because who doesn’t need a classic wide brimmed hat for fall? This trend can be a little tricky because the windy city I live in likes to blow hats right off my head! Any styling tips to keeping beautiful hats like this on my noggin?
I’ve had a recent epiphany that pleats are the most flattering material, so I obviously need to stock up. Can you picture this pleated skirt with a sultry camisole? I sure can!
The outfit is all about accessories, right? Well, truth be told, I haven’t had a proper belt in a minute (read: years). I love these double buckle belts. They’d go well with the Akira jeans or belting a skirt. Right?
I wore my lace up espadrilles all summer, so I think these lace up flats would a be a no brainer addition for my transitional wardrobe. ALSO how perfect would the look with the pleated skirt?! Ugh, I die.
What do you wear in between seasons?! Tell me ??
