Apple Picking in Style

Helllooooo friends! Boy oh boy, have things been crazy around here. I just got back from a 4-day vacation in Denver with the twin and we had the best time ever! I’ll do a Denver mini city guide in a week or two (I have lots of reccos!). We seriously had an absolute blast and I didn’t crash our rental car, so that was a major win. Alright, let’s rewind a bit and talk about my amazing trip to a new apple orchard.

Logan and I have been going to an apple orchard every year since we were 17! The first time, we went to a little orchard close to my hometown. It was the first time I’d ever been to an apple orchard, and one time was all it took. I was hooked on the quintessential fall activity.

We made it a tradition. Even when we were in college, Logan found an apple orchard near our campus. When we were in Spain, explaining apple picking to our students was the closest we could get to our fav fall activity. And this year we tried out a new orchard. It’s called Harvest Time Orchard. I loved it because they also have a pumpkin patch! We didn’t buy any pumpkins, but it was cool to walk through and literally pick some up.

We drove up north to the Illinois/Wisconsin border on the first fall morning of the season. So this outfit was absolutely perfect for the first part of the day, but the sun came out and I had to sweat through the rest of our outing #authentic.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. We had a really long summer here in Chicago, and I’m so excited to start layering again! Layers are my jam.

Fall is such a busy time of year, but I definitely want to start creating more annual traditions for Logan and I (and let’s be real, twin too). What are some other activities we can do? Pumpkin decorating?
